A Calm LA Hideaway: Apto’s First Photoshoot Through the Eyes of Our Marketing Director

For our first-ever Apto collection photoshoot, the team traveled to Los Angeles to capture the spirit of the brand in a home that felt intentional, warm, and alive with subtle character. This time, we’re hearing the story not from the designer, but from the marketing director—who had her own set of standout moments, insights, and unexpected behind-the-scenes discoveries.

A Team Energized by the Space

While the schedule was tight and the shot list ambitious, the marketing director recalls the atmosphere on set with a smile. “The entire crew had such great energy,” she says. “Everyone appreciated the beauty of the house and focused on creating beautiful images. It was fast-paced, but the positivity and hard work really stood out.” In a setting that felt both serene and inspiring, the team’s shared excitement carried the shoot from morning light to golden hour.

A Home That Paired Effortlessly With Apto

The chosen location balanced two worlds: the relaxed ease of Los Angeles and the traditional Japanese elements that gave the home a quiet sense of calm. "It felt peaceful the moment you stepped inside,” she recalls. “Apto can work in any style of home, but this aesthetic aligns beautifully with our ethos.” She also couldn’t help admiring the built-in furniture—every table, shelf, and surface thoughtfully integrated into the architecture. “It made the house feel so special.”

The Product She Can’t Wait to Take Home

Her personal pick from the collection? The Tidy Magnet Set. “I’ve never seen anything like it before. I’m so excited!” A small object with surprising charm—exactly the kind of thoughtful detail that Apto aims to celebrate.

The People That Made the Photoshoot Shine

Amid a sea of lenses, she believes one person deserves special recognition from the shoot: “I want to highlight Julie, our prop stylist. She truly brought the Apto products to life in the photos.”

When it comes to Apto essentials, she couldn’t pick just one. “Everything!” she insists. But she eventually lands on a favorite: the utensil holder. “The size is perfect, the surface texture is beautiful, and it helps keep things organized. I can’t wait to have it in my kitchen.”

From the high-energy teamwork to the calm beauty of a Japanese-influenced LA home, the marketing director’s perspective adds a fresh layer to the story of Apto’s first shoot. It’s a reminder that while the photos reflect the finished world of Apto, the process behind them—collaboration, creativity, and yes, a lot of cameras—is what brings that world to life.
